Vectric Spark is Vectric’s first native macOS CAD/CAM software, giving Mac users a powerful but intuitive solution for designing projects and creating toolpaths for their Onefinity CNC—without Windows or Parallels.

Spark combines 2D design tools, CNC toolpaths, V-Carving, laser toolpaths, machine setup, tool management, and realistic toolpath previews in one streamlined Mac interface.

Whether you’re just getting started with CNC or you’re an experienced Vectric user who has been waiting for native Mac software, Spark makes it easy to go from an idea to a finished Onefinity project.

What Can You Do With Spark?

Spark includes the essential tools needed for many of the most popular Onefinity CNC projects:

Vectric for Mac — No Windows or Parallels Required

Unlike VCarve Desktop, VCarve Pro, and Aspire, which are Windows applications, Vectric Spark runs natively on macOS.

If you use a Mac with your Onefinity CNC and have wanted the familiar Vectric design and toolpath workflow without installing Windows, Spark was made for you.

How Does Spark Compare to VCarve and Aspire?

Spark is a separate Vectric product designed specifically for Mac. It is not simply VCarve or Aspire ported to macOS.

Spark includes many of the tools Onefinity owners use every day, including 2D drawing and editing, profiles, pockets, drilling, V-Carving, laser toolpaths, tool management, post processors, and toolpath simulation.

For more advanced machining, VCarve Pro and Aspire offer additional functionality that is not currently available in Spark.

Spark does not currently support:

• Automatic Tool Changers (ATC)

• 3D model machining

• Aspire-style 3D modeling

• Certain advanced VCarve Pro/Aspire toolpaths and production tools

• Vectric Gadgets

If you use a Onefinity Easy ATC or require advanced 3D machining, VCarve Pro or Aspire may be the better choice.

Already Use VCarve or Aspire?

Spark can open existing Vectric CRV and CRV3D project files.

Compatible vectors and supported project data will be imported into Spark. Features Spark does not support, such as 3D models or unsupported toolpaths, will be ignored when the file is opened.

If an existing Vectric project contains multiple sheets, Spark allows you to select the sheet you want to open.

Onefinity Post Processors

Spark uses the same Vectric post-processor system used by Cut2D, VCarve, and Aspire.

Existing compatible custom Vectric post processors can also be imported into Spark.

Please note: Spark does not currently support automatic tool-changing operations.

CNC + Laser in One Project

Spark includes native laser toolpaths without requiring a separate laser module.

For compatible machines and laser configurations, you can combine CNC routing and laser operations in the same project.

Laser features include:

• Laser engraving

• Laser cutting

• Laser fill

• Picture engraving

This makes Spark an excellent option for Onefinity owners who use both a spindle/router and a compatible laser.

Spark is for macOS only. It is not currently available for Windows or Linux.

Perpetual License

This is a perpetual software license. You own the software rather than paying an ongoing subscription.

Vectric licenses may be installed on up to three devices for a single user, subject to Vectric’s licensing terms.
