Learning varies significantly by program, with all-in-one solutions like Easel or Carbide Create being highly recommended for beginners due to their intuitive, streamlined interfaces.

More powerful CNC softwares like Fusion 360 has a steeper learning curve, but many users find that starting with free trial versions and online tutorials makes the process manageable.

Onefinity machines are compatible with any software that exports standard G-code, with Vectric (VCarve/Aspire), Carveco, Easel, and Fusion 360 being the most popular choices among users. 

Official support and specialized post-processors are available for these programs, and Onefinity also sells perpetual licenses for Vectric and Carveco directly through their website.

CNC machines generally cannot use any arbitrary software but require applications that can output G-code, the standard language used by CNC controllers to guide tool movement.
