With rails comprised of high-precision, hardened steel, linear motion shafts 30mm in diameter, precision machined gantry blocks and rail ends, both made from aerospace grade aluminum, sealed, high load, linear bearings. The heavy-duty Z-Slider is composed of 5/8” thick aluminum plates and 16mm hardened steel, linear motion shafts making the Apprentice rock solid!

RIGIDITY.
The Apprentice comes equipped with 30mm hardened steel linear shafts making it one of the most rigid machines its class.
ACCELLERATION.
The Apprentice is capable of high accelerations, however, if you’re new to CNC machining, high accelerations rates can increase the risk of breaking bits or ruining your workpiece.
Because we want your Onefinity experience to be smooth and enjoyable from the onset, we’ve set the default acceleration to a level that better protects both your expensive bits and material. Once you’re comfortable with the machine and your carving techniques, feel free to push those limits. Don’t worry about breaking the Apprentice, we've already tried... unsuccessfully. It will be ready when you are!

CUTTING AREA.
The Apprentice features a cutting area of 16-1/2”” along the X-Axis and 16-1/2” along the Y-Axis.
LARGE GANTRY CLEARANCE.
With 5-1/4” of gantry clearance, The Apprentice has the highest gantry clearance in its class. Having more gantry clearance is useful when you need to use fixtures or jigs to hold your parts or when you want to use thicker material.

Below are the external dimensions of the Apprentice. These dimensions will help you build a base and/or select an appropriate table. You can also use the shown dimensions to create a waste board.
BALL SCREWS ON EACH AXIS
The Onefinity Apprentice is built on 1610 ball screws, delivering exceptional precision, rigidity, and speed. Unlike machines that rely on rubber belts or lead screws—which wear out, stretch, and require constant tweaking—the Apprentice’s ball screws are virtually maintenance-free. A light oiling now and then is all it takes to keep everything running smoothly.

The Apprentice Z-16 (Z-Slider) is powerful, rigid and speedy. Offering great speed, torque and precision due to the 12mm ball screw and powerful 1.2Nm stepper motor. Along with a large range of motion, the Z-16 is a solid Z-slider with great performance.

INDUSTRY LEADING QUICK SETUP.
Keeping true to what customers love about the Onefinity CNC, the Apprentice can be assembled very quickly. Everything is plug and play and only 12 bolts are required to assemble the Onefinity (8 bolts to fasten the X-Axis to the Y-Axis and 4 to attach the Z-20 (Z-slider). Once your machine is fastened together, just mount your display and screw the Y-Axis to your table or QCW. Most customers are carving in less than an hour!
REDLINE SAFETY APPROVED SPINDLE (65mm optional)
Increase the power and performance of the Apprentice by purchasing a 65mm REDLINE Spindle. REDLINE Spindles are the only safety approved plug and play spindles on the market. The REDLINE Spindle Kits are of the highest quality and feature an all metal VFD enclosure (no plastic or 3D printed parts) along with properly grounded and shielded wires and cables. The REDLINE Spindle Kits ensure all power lines are properly filtered and the spindles feature four ceramic bearings
7, 14 and 64 WATT LASER (OPTIONAL)
The Onefinity CNC offers you the ability to quickly add a quality J-Tech laser that is completely plug and play. Many of our customers create mind blowing carves using their Onefinity CNC, but if you really want to set yourself apart from the crowd, add some “freakin’ laser beams.”
EACH UNIT FULLY INSPECTED
Onefinity’s quick and easy set up allows us to do something no other company can; Each machine is fully assembled, thoroughly inspected and tested, which includes performing an actual test carve. Your machine is then packaged for shipping along with the test carved “Team Onefinity” sign. No other CNC company can ensure your machine is at its highest quality before leaving the factory. They may test parts of the machine, but don’t be fooled, they don’t test the full machine.
PLUG AND PLAY TOOL SETTER AND XYZ TOUCH PROBE
The Apprentice Tool Setter is a semi-automatic tool offset probe that makes it easy to run jobs using multiple tools without the need to stop and re-zero manually. The XYZ Probe allows you to quickly and precisely zero your CNC's X, Y, and Z axis.
